Trailblazer of the Year igagawad kay Atayde

MANILA, Philippines — Pararangalan si Quezon City first district Congressman Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde sa Nickel Asia Corporation Siklab Youth Sports Awards 2024 na gaganapin bukas sa Market! Market! Activity Center, Ayala Malls BGC sa Taguig City.

Kikilalanin si Atayde bilang Trailblazer of the Year dahil sa magandang grassroots sports development program nito partikular na sa Youth Football League (YFL).

Mayroon din itong D1 basketball at volleyball leagues para sa mga kabataan sa Quezon City first district.

Kamakailan lamang ay naghari ang QC District 1 Warriors sa 2024 CLS Cup sa Indonesia kung saan tinalo nito sa finals ang ACBA Tigers Sydney.

Suportado rin ni Atayde ang QCSEP fen­cing team ni City Councilor Joseph Juico.

Maliban kay Atayde, gagawaran ng Philippine Sports Commission-Phi­lippine Paralympic Committee-Philippine Olympic Committee Media Group (PSC-PPC-POC Media Group) ang mga natatanging kabataang atleta sa iba’t ibang sports.

May special awards din sina Olympic boxing medalist Nesthy Petecio (Sports Idol), Terry Capistrano (Godfather of the Year) at Bong Go (Lifetime Achievement Award).

May kabuuang 80 youth at junior athletes mula sa 37 sports ang gagawaran sa event na suportado ng Nickel Asia Corporation, Phi­lippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, MVP Sports Foundation, CEL Logistics, Go For Gold, Barley + WHEATGRASS Entrepro, Pacquiao Coffee, Milo, San Miguel Corporation, PLDT at Smart.

Kabilang dito sina swimmer Behrouz Mohammad Mojdeh at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh gayundin sina Ana B­hianca Espenilla (athletics), John Andre Aguja (cycling), JR Pandi (badminton), Brandon Sanchez (baseball), Kieffer Alas (basketball), Marc Dylan Custodio (bowling), Nick Anjelo Payla (boxing), Naina Dominique Tagle (archery), Gavin Moses Bangayan Ti (obstacle course racing), Jonathan Reyes (squash), Jeniva Consigna (sambo) at Joseph Godbout (modern pentathlon).
