MANILA, Philippines — Saludo ang FIVB sa Pilipinas na siyang magtataguyod ng prestihiyosong FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship na gaganapin sa susunod na taon.
Kaya naman may regalo ang pamunuan ng FIVB kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos.
Nag-host si Marcos ng programa sa Kalayaan Grounds sa Malacañang Palace para sa mga kinatawan ng FIVB na duma-ting sa bansa para sa dra-wing of lots.
Sa naturang programa, ibinigay ni FIVB general director Fabio Azevedo ang regalo para kay Marcos na isang painting mula kay Olympian artist Slaven Dizdarevic.
Kasama ni Azevedo sina Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) President Ramon “Tats” Suzara, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at Presidential son Vinnie.
“It was fantastic to see how committed your President is in promoting volleyball sports. It’s fantastic also to see the volleyball euphoria in the Philippines. So, we are looking forward to drawing more exciting events,” ani Fabio.
Tinawag ang progra-mang “PH to Serve” na nagsilbing simula ng one-year countdown sa hosting ng FIVB Men’s World Championship 2025.
“It is really unbelie-vable, and I did not expect this concert for the World Championship. We never expect this. The commitment and the effort of the government are extraordinary. We would like to thank the First Lady, Vinnie, and the President for this,” ani Suzara.
