MANILA, Philippines — Nagkwalipika si Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh sa prestihiyosong 2024 World Aquatics (WA) Swimming World Cup na gaganapin sa tatlong magkakahiwalay na venues.
Pinangalanan na ang Philippine Aquatics Inc. ang 16 tankers na magiging bahagi ng national team kung saan isa si Mojdeh sa mga nakapasok sa lineup.
Nakahirit ng tiket sa national squad si Mojdeh matapos ang isinagawang qualifying event ng PAI kamakailan sa Rizal Memorial swimming pool.
Masaya ang buong Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (BEST) sa panibagong tagumpay na naabot ni Mojdeh partikular na sa kanyang kauna-unahang torneo sa seniors division.
Maningning ang juniors campaign ni Mojdeh na nakapasok sa semifinals ng World Juniors Swimming Championships noong 2022 sa Lima, Peru habang bumasag ito ng national junior record sa parehong world meet noong 2023 sa Netanya, Israel.
“She always has good news happening on her on my birthday. In 2022, she made it to the semis World Juniors then broke PH junior record in 2023. Now she finally made it to Philippine National Team. Step by step towards your goal. One step at a time,” ani BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh na ina ni Micaela Jasmine.
Nakapasok si Mojdeh matapos makalikom ng 690 WA points.
“As she now steps into her first competition as a national team on her 18th year and bid her last year in the junior national team. We are having mixed emotions but more excited for her,” dagdag ni Joan.
