MANILA, Philippines — Maningning ang final year ni Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh sa Palarong Pambansa.

Matikas na winakasan ni Mojdeh ang kampan­ya nito tangan ang limang ginto tampok ang dalawang bagong rekord sa swimming competitions ng annual sporting event.

Dahil dito, itinanghal si Mojdeh bilang Most Valuable Player sa girls’ class ng swimming event sa secondary division.

Unang umarangkada ang Calabarzon Region top swimmer sa 200m butterfly event kung saan winasak nito ang kanyang dating rekord noong 2019 Palaro na 2:22.69 bitbit ang bagong marka na 2:19.72.

“I guess when I was 12, I was very concerned with other people’s expectations and this time I just really had to let go of those expectations and really just enjoy myself,” ani Mojdeh.

Nagrehistro rin ang two-time World Juniors Championships veteran ng bagong Palarong Pambansa record sa 200m breaststroke kung saan nagsumite ito ng 2:41.75 para wasakin ang 2:43.78 na dating marka ni Xiandi Chua.

Nakahirit pa si Mojdeh ng gintong medalya sa 200m individual medley sa bilis na 2:26.68 gayundin sa 100m butterfly (1:03.82) at 400m individual medley (5:12.18).

“I was really nervous because even though this isn’t an international competition, I know the whole Philippines is watching and they’re really counting on me but at the end of the day I just really wanted to enjoy my swim and get a good time,” ani Mojdeh.

Maliban sa limang ginto, may tanso rin si Mojdeh sa 4x100 medley relay kasama sina Daniella Gregorio, Zia Ranjo at Gabriel Sapinit.

“I would like to thank my parents, my coaches and my friends for always supporting me,” wika pa ni Mojdeh.
