MANILA, Philippines — Magbabalik ang Batang Pinoy at Philippine National Games (PNG) sa Disyembre.
Ito ang inihayag kahapon ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richard Bachmann kasama ang bagong Executive Director na si Paulo Francisco Tatad.
Magkasabay na idaraos ng PSC ang Batang Pinoy at PNG sa Disyembre 17 hangang 22 sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Malate, Manila at saPhilsports Complex sa Passig City.
“Going around the provinces and all the sports events, we owe it to all the kids and the athletes to give them a good platform to perform in all sports,” wika ni Bachmann kasabay ng paglulunsad ng bagong logo ng Batang Pinoy at PNG.
“That’s one way the PSC can help, to give them that international-level of hosting from the logo to the branding,” dagdag pa nito.
Nakalatag sa dalawang torneo ang 20 disciplines na kinabibilangan ng archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball 3x3, boxing, chess, cycling, dancesport, esports, gymnastics, karatedo, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, beach volleyball, weightlifting at wushu.
Ang Mobile Legends lamang ang nakalinya sa esports.
Maglalaro sa Batang Pinoy ang mga atletang may edad 17-anyos pababa, habang sa PNG ay 18-anyos pataas.
“Together with Chairman Bachmann, we will do our very best in the coming months and years to increase the participation of our youth in our grassroots sports programs like the BP and PNG, and improve our facilities and infrastructure for our athletes,” sabi ni Tatad.
