MANILA, Philippines — Pinamunuan ni Tokyo Olympian Kurt Barbosa ang six-gold harvest ng Team Philippines sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games sa Cambodia kahapon.

Pinagharian ni Barbosa ang men’s -54kg ng taek­wondo competition kasunod ang mga panalo nina Arven Alcantara (men’s -68kg), Samuel Morrison (men’s -87kg) at Kirstie Elaine Alora (women’s -73kg).

Tinalo naman ni boxer Ian Clark Bautista si Indonesian Asri Udin, 5-0, para pagharian ang men’s fea­therweight division at suntukin ang kanyang ikatlong sunod na SEA Games gold.

Giniba nina tennis players Ruben Gonzales at Francis Alcantara ang kanilang Indonesian rivals, 2-6, 7-5, 10-5, para hatawin ang ginto sa men’s doubles.

Ito ang ika-37 ginto ng Pilipinas bukod sa 64 pilak at 75 tansong medalya para maupo sa sixth spot sa medal standings na pinamumunuan ng Vietnam (83-76-85).

Sa basketball, inilampaso ng Gilas men’s team ang Singapore, 105-45 habang giniba ng Gilas Pilipinas women’s squad ang Vietnam, 116-58.

Kumpiyansa si Senate president at Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Fe­deration (PEKAF) chief Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri na makakasikwat sila ng anim sa kabuuang 12 golds ngayong araw.
