“We wanted to get as many wins as possible,” sabi ni Reyes. “We were going for a 9-2 record as we felt 9-2 is the needed record to get into the Top 2, but we fell short by one.”

Okupado ng TNT ang third spot sa team standings sa ilalim ng San Miguel (8-1) at Ginebra (6-2) kasunod ang Blackwater (5-2), Magnolia (5-3), Meralco (4-3), Converge (4-5), NLEX (4-5), NorthPort (2-6), Phoenix (2-6), Rain or Shine (2-6), Terrafirma (0-8).

“It’s a tough schedule playing 11 games in one month. But it’s designed that way, and we’re happy for our 12-day break; it’s a recovery period for the players,” ani Reyes.

Kung mabibigo ang Tropang Giga sa Top Two spot ay maglalaro sila sa best-of-three series sa quarterfinals.

“So we just have to be ready whoever we play in the quarterfinals,” wika ni Reyes na magtutungo sa Indonesia kasama si TNT center Poy Erram para sa kampanya ng Gilas Pilipinas sa FIBA Asia Cup na magsisimula ngayon.
