National volleyball teams mapapalaban sa FIVB Volleyball Nations
MANILA, Philippines — Magkakaroon ng exhibition matches ang Phi-lippine national men’s at women’s volleyball teams laban sa mga world-class squads sa Week 2 hosting ng Pinas ng 2022 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
Ito ang inihayag kahapon ni Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara sa online session ng Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum. “The plan now is to have an exhibition match. Our women’s team will have an exhibition match against Japan and Russia and then sa men’s naman to have an exhibition match with Argentina or Italy and Japan also,” aniya.
Pamamahalaan ng PNVF ang preliminary round ng women’s division ng Week 2 ng FIVB VNL, dating FIVB World Grand Prix, sa Hunyo 14 hanggang 19 sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City. Sa Smart Araneta Coliseum naman sa Quezon City gagawin ang men’s pool matches sa Hunyo 21-26.
“The FIVB recommended kung puwedeng isang venue but my idea here is to give also our Filipino fans sa dalawang city ng magkaiba na hindi lang lahat MOA, hindi lang lahat Araneta,” katuwiran ni Suzara.
Sasalang sa women’s class ang mga Olympic champions at best teams na United States, Japan, China, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Thailand at Canada, habang hahataw sa men’s category ang Japan, Argentina, France, Italy, Russia, Germany, Slovenia at Netherlands.
