Bundit nag-resign sa national team

MANILA, Philippines — Nabangasan ang coaching staff ng women’s national volleyball team matapos mag-resign si Thai coach Tai Bundit bilang assistant coach.

Inihayag ni Philippine National Volleyball Federation national team commission chairman Tony Boy Liao ang hindi kagandahang balita ilang araw matapos ang Premier Volleyball League Open Conference championships.

Ayon kay Liao, nagsumite na ng resignation letter si Bundit noong Agosto 15.

Nais ni Bundit na makasama ang kanyang pamilya lalo pa’t patuloy na tumataas ang bilang ng mga tinatamaan ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) sa Bangkok.

“He cited family reasons,” ani Liao.

Nasa average na 20,000 ang nagkakasakit kada-araw sa Thailand.

Ayon pa kay Liao, wala pang linaw kung babalik si Bundit sa Pilipinas sa Oktubre para sa PVL second conference.

Si Bundit ang head coach ng Creamline Cool Smashers na nagtapos bilang runners-up sa Open Conference matapos matalo sa best-of-three finals series sa Chery Tiggo.

Kung walang magi-ging aberya, nakatakdang umalis patungong Bangkok si Bundit kahapon.

Matatapos na nga-yong araw ang bubble training ng national team sa Batangas kasama sina Brazilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito at Odjie Mamon.

Ngunit ipagpapatuloy ito sa Subic para sa limang linggong training camp doon.
