Milo Marathon Finals inurong sa January 19
MANILA, Philippines — Para sa pagbibigay daan sa 30th Southeast Asian Games, nagdesisyon ang Nestle Philippines na gaganapin ang Milo Marathon National Finals sa January 19 sa susunod na taon sa Tarlac City.
Idaraos dito sa bansa ang 2019 Sea Games nga-yong Nobyembre 30 hanggang sa Disyembre 11 sa New Clark City-Capas, Tarlac, Metro Manila, Subic at Tagaytay City.
Kabilang sa sasabak sa Sea Games ay ang Milo Marathon six-time champion Mary Joy Tabal ng Cebu at 2018 men’s division runner-up Jerald Zabala, kapalit ng yumaong kampeon noong nakaraang taon na si Rafael Poliquit.
“We call on the entire nation to get involved and rally behind our athletes as they compete in our home soil for this significant sporting event. The SEA Games marks an exciting time for Philippine sports. May this event serve as an inspiration to all our runners to aspire for greatness throughout the season,” pahayag ni Milo Sports Manager Lester P. Castillo.
Mahigit 150,000 running enthusiasts ang inaasa-hang sasali sa nationwide qualifying races na magsisimula sa Metro Manila elimination sa Hulyo 28 sa Mall of Asia (MOA) grounds sa Pasay City at susundan sa Subic leg sa Agosto 4.
“We, the City of Tarlac are thrilled to open our doors to all running enthusiasts to celebrate this grand milestone with us. Preparations are underway and we are in close coordination with our organizing committees to ensure that every runner will have a fun-filled experience in Tarlac,” sabi ni National Finals organizer Vlad Rodriguez.
Ayon pa kay Rodriguez na ang National Finals na gaganapin sa kanilang lugar sa unang pagkakataon ay bahagi KAISA Festival.
