MANILA, Philippines – Naipadala na ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions kay Manny Pacquiao ang mga fight tapes nina unbeaten light welterweight champion Terence Crawford, welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley Jr. at dating light welterweight king Amir Khan.
At bago matapos ang buwan ay inaasahang makakapagdesisyon na si Pacquiao para sa sinasabing magiging pinakahuli niyang laban bago tuluyang magretiro.
Ngunit umaasa pa rin si trainer Freddie Roach na maitatakda ang rematch nina Pacquiao at Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Ito ay sa kabila ng pagreretiro ng 38-anyos na si Mayweather noong Setyembre matapos talunin si Andre Berto at mapantayan ang record na 49-0-0 win-loss-draw ring record ni heavyweight legend Rocky Marciano.
Ayon kay Roach, ang malaking premyo ang pupuwersa kay Mayweather para muling labanan si Pacquiao.
“I don’t see Floyd -- and Manny -- leaving all that money on the table. If Manny looks good, even if it’s $100 million for Mayweather instead of $300 million, that’s a lot of money,” wika ni Roach.
Sa unanimous decision victory ni Mayweather noong Mayo 2 laban kay Pacquiao ay tumanggap siya ng premyong $400 milyon, habang $140 milyon naman ang napasakamay ng Filipino world eight-division champion na nagkaroon ng right shoulder injury sa fourth round.
Naniniwala si Roach na masisilaw sa mala-king premyo si Mayweather para muling harapin si Pacquiao.
“The way Mayweather spends money, and the way Manny is so generous with his, I would hate for either to go broke. This is a way for them to not go broke,” dagdag pa ng trainer.
Sa hanay nina Crawford, Bradley at Khan ay mas gusto ni Roach na labanan ni Pacquiao si Crawford.
“Manny needs to fight, win, come out healthy and show the world his shoulder is 100%,” ani Roach. “If he does, I think we can get Mayweather.”
