Problema sa PBA nais solusyunan ni Narvasa
MANILA, Philippines – Pahahalagahan ng PBA ang talento at estratehiya ng mga players at coaches sa pagbubukas ng kanilang pang-41 season sa Oktubre 18.
“We’re back to playing the game of basketball as we learned it while growing up,” wika ni PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa.
Hangad ni Narvasa na resolbahan ang communication gap sa pagitan ng 12 ballclubs at mga referees na nagreresulta sa kalituhan at komprontasyon sa mga nakaraang laro.
Ang una niyang ginawa sa kanyang pag-upo bilang bagong PBA Commissioner ay kausapin ang mga coaches at mga game officials.
“Apparently, the trouble has something to do with their training. Coaches and players are trained on the interpretation of the rules while the refs are focused on their specific areas that often leads to non-calls,” wika ni Narvasa. “I’ve been a player and coach but never a referee. So this undertaking is really a learning experience for me,” dagdag pa ng PBA chief na binisita ang mga koponan sa kanilang practice sessions kasama sina deputy commissioner Rickie Santos, assistant to the commissioner Pita Dobles, mga technical officials at referees.
Bilang solusyon ay inutusan ni Narvasa ang mga referees na tawagan ang mga dapat itawag sa laro.
