MANILA, Philippines - Posibleng idepensa ni Nicaraguan world flyweight champion Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez ang kanyang korona laban kay dating two-time titlist Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria.
Ito ay itatakda sa Oktubre 17 sa Madison Square Garden sa New York City bilang undercard ng middleweight title unification bout nina Gennady Golovkin at David Lemieux.
“Everything is pointing towards Viloria,” sabi ni Carlos Blandon Vidaurre, ang manager ni Gonzalez, sa panayam ng ESPN.com.
“I’m glad Viloria’s team jumped back in the race. I believe he is an excellent fighter and will help Roman give another amazing performance,” ani Vidaurre.

Umiskor naman si Gonzalez ng second round KO victory kontra kay dating world champion light flyweight titlist Edgar Sosa ng Mexico noong Mayo 16.
Inamin ng Top Rank Promotions na nagkaroon ng pag-uusap ukol sa Gonzalez-Viloria fight.
“There was a conversation about it amongst us on Thursday,” sabi ni Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti.
Bukod kay Viloria, ang iba pang maaaring itapat kay Gonzalez ay sina dating flyweight ruler Giovani Segura (32-4-1, 28 KOs) ng Mexico at Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo (16-2-0, 14 KOs).
