St. Benilde NCAA overall champions uli

MANILA, Philippines - Nakopo ng College of St. Benilde ang kanilang ikalawang  sunod na NCAA gene-ral championships sa seniors division habang naisubi ng San Beda ang kanilang ikalimang sunod na juniors crown sa 90th NCAA season.

Humakot ang Blazers ng kabuuang 660 points, para talunin ang kanilang pinakamahigpit na kalaban na San Beda, Arellano University at Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Nanalo ang St. Benilde sa pagkopo ng dalawang championships title lamang sa men’s table tennis at men’s beach volleyball  ngunit nakabawi sila sa kanilang mga runner-up finishes sa men’s at wo-men’s swimming, women’s taekwondo, women’s table tennis, men’s volleyball at third placer sa chess, women’s volleyball, football at soft tennis.

“We’re proud of their accomplishments, this is a tribute to the athletes and coaches who worked hard all year round,” sabi ni St. Benilde Management Committee representative Dax Castellano.

Ang San Beda ang may pinakamaraming titulo sa kanilang tagum-pay sa basketball, men’s at women’s swimming, men’s at women’s taekwondo, women’s table tennis, football at soft tennis para sa 568.5 points ngunit sapat lamang ito sa second overall dahil hindi na sila pumuwesto sa ibang event.

Bumawi ang kanilang junior counterparts sa kanilang panalo matapos lumikom ng  400 points upang ungusan ang La Salle-Greenhills na may 322.5 points.

Naghari ang Cubs sa basketball, table tennis at lawn tennis at pumangalawa sa swimming, badminton at football at third pla-cer sa chess at taekwondo.
