Rios ibabawi si Margarito kay Pacquiao

Ngunit ayon kay Bran­don ‘Bam Bam’ Rios, mag­kaiba sila ni dating world lightweight champion Antonio Margarito, ti­nalo ni Manny Pacquiao no­ong Nobyembre 13, 2010.

“I respect him, love him like a brother, but me and Margarito are diffe­rent,” ani Rios. “He did things to hurt Pacquiao, and I saw things we’re going to counter off.”

Ayon sa 27-anyos na si Rios, wala siyang balak na iganti si Margarito kay Pacquiao.

“But I’m not thinking about revenge, this being a grudge, or that I’m mad. If I went in there mad, I’d get knocked out,” wika ni Rios (31-1-1, 23 KOs) na sa­sagupa kay Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38 KOs) sa Nob­yembre 24 sa The Venetian sa Macau, China.

Sa naturang Pacquiao-Margarito fight sa Texas Stadium ay lumaban si Ri­os sa undercard kung sa­an niya tinalo si Omri Low­ther via technical knockout.

Sinabi ni Rios na ma­laki na ang ipinagbago ni Pacquiao nang talunin si Margarito at si Shane Mos­ley noong Mayo 7, 2011.

“Over the years, Pacquiao has slowed down. He’s not as quick as he was. He doesn’t move around, he has leg cramps. He’s been in wars, after the (Juan Manuel) Marquez fight. So we’re going to approach it different,” sabi ni Rios sa Sarangani Congressman.
