Cruz, Matta, 4 pa umusad sa Toby’s netfest

MANILA, Philippines - Nagtala sina James Rohan Cruz at Amelie Matta  ng magkahiwalay na panalo upang patatagin ang kanilang kampanya sa 10-under unisex division ng Toby’s-Prince Tennis Festival 2013 sa Rizal Memorial Tennis Center kahapon.

Iginupo ni Cruz si Justine So, 4-1, 4-2, habang sinibak ni Matta si Ruth Esther Demafelus, 4-0, 4-2, para makausad sa susunod na round ng isang linggong torneong ito na handog ng Toby’s Sports at Prince sa pakikipagtulungan ng Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA), Equipe, Adidas, Lonsdale, Kangaroos at Urban Athletics.

Nagsipagpanalo rin sina Noelle So, Andrew Gil, Elijah Morr Guillermo at Joaquin de Leon  para makausad din sa susunod na round.

Sa 14-under girls section, nanalo si Annika Mallari kay Marielle So, 6-4, 6-3; blinangko ni Chloe Mae Saraza si Mae Juris Garceron, 6-0, 6-0 para samahan sina Camille So at Kristine Martinna na nanalo  via default, sa susunod na round.

Sa non-ranked section ng 12-under boys, tinalo ni Joseph Gregg Illo si Albert Inocencio Lesaca, 8-5; sinibak ni Vincent Tenorio si Daniel Vonn Montejo, 8-0; blinangko rin ni Laurenz Quitara si Hamza Omar, 8-0; nakaligtas si Antonio Relucio kay Marc Andrei Bascara, 8-7 (10-8) at naungusan ni Andrew Gil Garcia si Jose Tomas Bernardo sa 8-5 iskor.

Sa 10-under unisex din, iginupo ni Miguel Luis Vicencio si Shant Raven, 4-1, 4-0, pinasad-sad ni Juan Alfonso Lacuna si Jude Hidalgo, 4-1, 4-0, nakaligtas si Nicos Ison kay Adam Sujica, 4-2, 5-4, 7-2, sinibak ni Rafael Liangco si James Rohan Cruz, 4-2, 4-1 at blinangko ni Eurydice Gaspar si Samuel Reani Nuguit, 4-0, 4-0.
