LeBron, Allen nanguna sa All-Defensive Team

MANILA, Philippines - Pinangunahan ni Le-Bron James at Memphis guard Tony Allen ang NBA All-Defensive First Team, ayon sa pahayag ng liga.

Tumanggap si Allen ng 53 points sa botohan, habang ang Miami Heat star  ay may 52.

Ang bawat player ay may 25 first-team votes mula sa  30 head coaches ng NBA.

“We pride ourselves on defense here,’’ sabi ni James. “I’m one of the catalysts, as far as taking that side of the ball very seriously. We all do. I’m happy to be rewarded with such an honor to be part of First Team All-Defense. Any time you’re awarded anything individually, it’s an honor.’’

Kasama ng dalawa sa first team sina Clippers guard Chris Paul (37 points), Thunder forward Serge Ibaka (46), Knicks center Tyson Chandler (24) at Bulls center Joakim Noah (24).

“Joakim, obviously (I’m) very pleased with that,’’ sabi ni Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. “I think down the road, Joakim has a very good chance of being Defensive Player of the Year. His ability to defend all five positions, every aspect of the game - individual defense, team defense, rebounding, multiple effort ... a very unique player.’’

Kabilang naman si Marc Gasol, ang Defensive Player of the Year ng NBA, sa second team. Kasama niya sina Cel-tics guard Avery Bradley, Grizzlies guard Mike Conley, Spurs forward Tim Duncan at Pacers forward Paul George.
