Rigondeaux pipirma rin pala: Tuloy na ang laban

MANILA, Philippines - Halos isang oras ang kinailangan bago pirmahan ni Cuban titleholder Guillermo Rigondeaux ang form ng random testing para sa performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) sa pamamagitan ng Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).

Sa harap ni New York State Athletic Commission head Melvina Lathan, nilagdaan ng 32-anyos na si Rigondeaux ang natu-rang form kasunod ang press conference nila ni unified world super bantamweight champion Nonito ‘The Filipino Flash’ Donaire, Jr. sa B.B. King Blues Club & Grill sa Times Square sa New York City.

Magtatagpo sina Do-naire at Rigondeaux para sa kanilang unification fight sa Abril 14 (Manila time) sa Radio City Music Hall sa New York.

“Well, Rigondeaux’s team didn’t give no phone number so we’re gonna hassle for each and eve-ryone’s phone numbers,” sabi ng 30-anyos na si Donaire kay Rigondeaux. “He signed it but how can you get a hold of him if there’s no phone numbers? They signed the contract and they’re willing to do it. It’s not about me doubting if he’s dirty, it’s more of this is what this guy agreed to.”

Itataya ni Donaire (31-1, 20 knockouts) ang kanyang mga suot na World Boxing Organization at International Boxing Fe-deration titles, habang isusugal ni Rigondeaux (11-0, 8 KOs) ang kanyang World Boxing Association crown.

“Nonito has been avoiding any confrontation with Rigondeaux and saying that Rigondeaux is not on his radar,” wika ng manager ni Rigondeaux na si Gary Hyde. “Well I’ve got some message here for Nonito: Nonito is not on Guillermo Rigondeaux’s radar. On the 13th of April, Rigo will be closing in on his target and he will be beating Donaire to win his titles.”
