Spurs nalo pa rin kahit wala sina Duncan at Ginobili

MINNEAPOLIS -- Sa isang nationally televised game, nanood si Commissioner David Stern at kasama niya sina Tim Duncan at Manu Ginobili.

Walang kontrobersya o multang ipinataw si Stern.

Nakaupo sina Duncan at Ginobili dahil may injury kaya hindi nakalaro para sa San Antonio Spurs ngunit tinuruan ng leksyon ng Spurs ang Minnesota Timberwolves.

Nagsalpak si Danny Green ng walong 3-pointers at umiskor ng career-high  na 28 points para tulungan ang Spurs sa kanilang pang-11 sunod na panalo mula sa 104-94 tagumpay kontra sa Timberwolves nitong Miyerkules ng gabi.

Nagtala si Tony Parker ng 31 points at 8 assists, habang may 19 points naman si Kawhi Leonard na humakot din ng 10 rebounds para sa Spurs.

“I think they do have a confidence level. The system doesn’t change when guys are out,’’ sabi ni San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich. “If Tony was out, somebody else would play. We just run the same stuff, we don’t change anything. I think they’re pretty used to the execution no matter who’s on the court. Obviously you’ve got to make shots and Danny and Kawhi were pretty good at that tonight.’’

Naglista naman si Nikola Pekovic ng 21 points at 10 rebounds at may 15 points at 12 boards si Derrick Williams para sa Timberwolves.

Nadagdag si forward Andrei Kirilenko (bruised right quadriceps) sa listahan ng mga injured players sa Minnesota.
