May 5.5 points ngayon si Son sa torneong may nakatayang dalawang tiket para sa World Chess Cup sa Tromso, Norway.

Si GM Oliver Barbosa pa lamang ang Filipino na may guaranteed  seat sa World Cup.

Nanaig naman si GM Cao Sang ng Vietnam kay IM Bayarsaikhan Gun­da­vaa ng Mongolia upang umangat sa 3rd hanggang 4th places kasama si An­tonio mula sa magkatulad nilang 5.0 points.

Nasa fifth hanggang eighth places sa magkakapareho nilang 4.5 points sina defending champion GM Susanto Me­garanto ng Indonesia, GM Mark Pa­ragua, GM John Paul Gomez at GM Darwin Laylo.
