Grabe na ‘to! Isang resto-bar sa Singapore ang nag-level up ng style sa pag-serve ng pagkain.
Dahil 2016 na at hi-tech na, hindi nagpahuli ang Timbre @ The Substation na isang live music bar and restaurant. Mayroon silang drone waiters (autonomous drones) na lumilipad pabalik-balik mula kusina hanggang dining area bitbit ang mga order ng customers.
Ang drone waiters ay gawa ng Singapore-based Infinium Robotics. Sa kasalukuyan ay nasa experimental stage pa lamang ang paggamit sa mga drone waiters kaya’t may mga totoong taong waiter pa rin para magserbisyo sa mga customer.
Ang ginagawa ng mga drone waiter ay inihahatid ang mga pagkain at inumin mula sa kusina papunta sa isang designated station malapit sa kainan kung saan kinukuha ng mga tao na waiter para i-serve sa customers.
Ito’y para mas magkaroon ng maraming oras ang mga waiter at para mas tutok ang mga ito sa customers.
“The robots will bring the food from the kitchen to the dining area and waiters will just need to wait for the food to ‘arrive in style’ before taking the food from the robots and serving it to the customers at the table. This is achieved without the waiters leaving the dining area at all, thereby increasing the interaction time between the waiters and the customers. The waiters will also always remain in sight of the customers, to be ready to attend to the customers’ every need – no more “disappearing” into the kitchen to collect the food,” paliwanag ni Woon Junyang, CEO ng Infinium Robotics.
