Gloria, may opinyon sa pagkatalo ni Chelsea

Nagbigay ng pahayag si Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz tungkol sa performance ng Philippine representative na si Chelsea Manalo sa recently held Miss Universe 2024.

As we all know, nabigo ang ating kandidata na makapasok sa Top 12 ng Miss Universe pero hinirang naman siyang first-ever Miss Universe Asia.

Sa panayam ng ABS-CBN kay Gloria ay sinabi niyang para sa kanya ay si Chelsea pa rin ang winner.

“Like I always say, winning or losing is not the beginning or the end. It’s only a step towards your own future, whatever it’s that you do. Chelsea is beautiful. I’ve seen her many times in person, twice, three times. She’s perfect but maybe today, maybe it’s not yet her time. The winner was good,” pahayag ng kauna-unahang Pilipina na nakasungkit ng Miss Universe crown.

“And medyo spoiled kasi tayo, we always want to be winners, hindi ba? And I think for the moment now Chelsea is my winner,” dagdag pa niya.

Nahingan din ng pahayag si Gloria tungkol sa pagkakaroon ngayon ng Continental Queens sa Miss Universe.

“That’s good. They are being inclusive so they want to do new things. In fact, I heard the crown was made here,” she said.

Sa pananaw ni Gloria ay iba na rin kasi ang panahon ngayon unlike during her time na simple lang ang Miss Universe.

“Ako naman I’d like to go with the times but of course during my time, it’s always to be better than ever.

“Kasi during my time it was simple, it was not as under pressure.

“Well, our prizes were good and our country was happy and that’s all that counts. And I worked and met a lot of very important people,” pahayag ng veteran actress.

Ate Vi, may nilinaw sa pagsasama nila ni Juday

Sinagot ni Star For All Seasons kung bakit mas pinili niyang tanggapin ang Uninvited with Aga Muhlach and Nadine Lustre kaysa sa Espantaho with Judy Ann Santos.

Ang Espantaho at Uninvited ay parehong napili sa 2nd batch (finished films) ng official entries for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival.

Sa grand media launch ng Uninvited ay natanong si Ate Vi kung bakit ang Uninvited ang napili niya sa tatlong MMFF movies na in-offer sa kanya.

Dito nga na-reveal ni Ate Vi mismo na ang Espantaho ng Quantum Films ang isa sa inalok sa kanya.

“But I will be honest. While meeting with the movie – I’ll say it – with Espantaho, I was meeting also with sila direk Dan regarding this movie, Uninvited,” simulang paliwanag ni Vilma.

“Of course, excited din ako to be with Judy Ann, you get me? I love Judy Ann.

“It’s just, habang inaayos ‘yon, and I will be honest, nalaman ko na lamang po na sinabmit ‘yung script sa first 5 para sa MMFF but unfortunately, parang hindi napasok,” patuloy niya.

Ang producer na raw ng Quantum na si Atty. Joji Alonso ang nagbigay ng go signal sa kanya na gawin na ang Uninvited since good friend din nito si direk Dan.

“It was Atty. Joji who told me, ‘go ahead and do the one with Dan because he is also my son.’ Sabi ni Atty. Joji, ‘do it and I promise you, I will watch that movie.’ So, du’n po nanggaling lahat ‘yun,” aniya.

Samantala, proud na proud naman si Ate Vi sa Uninvited dahil bukod sa reunion film nila ito ni Aga after 30 years ay first time pa niyang nakasama si Nadine. Plus dream project niya ito noon pa at sa kanya nga galing ang konsepto ng pelikula.
