Kris, nasa ‘Pinas na!

As we write ay lumipad na pabalik ng Pilipinas si Kris Aquino at baka paglabas ng kolum na ito ay nasa bansa na siya.

Before flying ay nakapag-post pa ang Queen of All Media sa kanyang Instagram para ianunsyo ang good news na ito.

“I choose to be 100% honest. i arrived in the (USA flag emoji) with 3 diagnosed autoimmune conditions, a 4th was confirmed in late June of 2022 (1. Autoimmune Thyroiditis 2. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria 3. Churg Strauss/EGPA- a rare, complicated form of vasculitis 4. Systemic Sclerosis and this 2024 i was diagnosed with 5. SLE/Lupus and 6. Rheumatoid Arthritis.) We are still waiting for the results of 2 more autoimmune conditions,” simula ni Kris.

“I thank all of you for your prayers.

Kasunod nito ay sinabi ni Kris na umuwi raw siya dahil ngayon na kailangang-kailangan ang suporta at encouragement ng kanyang mga kapatid dahil sisimulan na niya ang second chemotherapy niya.

“The reason i decided to go home is because i need to start my second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks (it’s a gentler term for chemotherapy). Emotionally i need the encouragement and unwave­ring faith my sisters & cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide…” she said.

“Sadly what was the BATTLE TO IMPROVE MY HEALTH is now THE STRUGGLE TO PROTECT MY VITAL ORGANS. This is now the FIGHT OF MY LIFE,” patuloy ni Kris.

Ayon pa kay Kris ay kasama niya of course na bumalik ang bunsong anak na si Bimby, her nurses at mga kaibigan.

“There are so many i wish to thank, our OC friends who became our adoptive family. The @flypal team, my 2 Fil-Am close friends Dr. Henry & Dr. Titus, and MY Dr. MP, my 3 best friends @michaelleyva_ , @lenalonte, and @annebinay (kuya josh is staying with ANNE for a few more weeks), my FILAM nurses (Mike, Cara, Patricia) and my source of strength, and God’s biggest blessing, my “BIMB”. They are flying home with me. A longer gratitude post when we get home,” sey niya.

Janine, ‘di pa maka-move on

Kararating lang ni Janine Gutierrez sa bansa mula sa very memorable experience niya sa Venice International Film Festival.

Dumalo ang aktres sa nasabing prestihiyosong international filmfest para sa world premiere ng pelikula niyang Phantosmia na idinirehe ni Lav Diaz.

First time ni Janine na dumalo sa naturang festival at rumampa sa red carpet kaya naman dream come true raw talaga ito para sa kanya. Pagtapak pa nga lang daw niya sa airport ng Venice ay kinikilig na siya.

“Oh my gosh, para siyang Dis­neyland, ‘yung pakiramdam ko,” aniya sa kanyang pocket presscon kahapon. “Kasi, ‘di ba, susunduin ka ng water taxi. Paglapag sa airport, parang meron nang welcome booth do’n para sa mga attended ng festival. Sila ‘yung mag-aasikaso sa ‘yo.

“So, ‘yun pa lang, kinikilig na ako kasi Venice Film Festival (ang nakalagay), ‘yung may malaking sign, ganyan,” kwento ni Janine.

“Tapos, dadalhin ka nila sa car. Tapos, from there, sasakay ka ng water taxi. So, ‘yung water taxi pa lang, kilig na kilig ako kasi nakikita ko lang ‘yun sa picture, eh,” dagdag niya.

Masaya pa niyang tsika, “pagpasok mo do’n sa mga canal, ‘eto pala ‘yung ginagaya ng Disneyland, ‘yun ‘yung pakiramdam. Tapos super naka-smile ako tapos tumatawa-tawa akong mag-isa. Tapos ‘yung mga kasama ko, parang natatawa na sa akin kasi tumatawa akong mag-isa. Sobrang magical ng Venice kasi.”

Sayang nga raw at hindi niya nakita ang ibang Hollywood stars na dumalo tulad nina Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Ang nakita lang daw niya ay si Julianne Moore dahil kasunod niya ito sa red carpet. Kaya naman super happy siya just to be in the same place with them.

Ngayon ay back to work na si Janine sa taping ng serye niya sa ABS-CBN na Lavender Fields. In the future ay gusto pa rin niyang makagawa ng maraming films at magkaroon ng opportunity ulit na makadalo sa international filmfests.
