Unang Darna, tatay ni FPJ ang nagpasikat

Something to reminisce about the komik’s super heroine, Darna, na muli ay ia-adapt into a movie, this time with comely young star, Jane de Leon playing the title role.

The first Darna, filmed in 1951, had Fil-American beauty, Rosa del Rosario, playing the title role.

Producer and director was the late Fernando Poe, Sr., Dad of the king of Philippine movies, late Fernando Poe, Jr. (real name, Ronald Allan Poe).

FPJ, Sr. produced Darna and released it via his own productions, Royal Productions.

Rosa died at 81 in the US in 2005.

Ilan sa mga artistang so far gumanap ng Darna ay sina Liza Moreno, Eva Montes, Gina Pareño, Vilma Santos, Lorna Tolentino, Rio Locsin, Sharon Cuneta, Nanette Medved, Anjanette Abayari, at Angel Locsin.

Ginawang series ng GMA-7 in August 2009 to February 2010 ang Darna with Ma-rian Rivera playing the title role.

Maymay niregaluhan ni Kathryn ng push-up bra!

Nearly three weeks bago mag-showing ang first team-up nila ni Kathryn Bernardo, ang Hello, Love, Goodbye, nakakaramdam na raw ng kakaibang lungkot si Alden Richards. He will surely miss daw Kathryn Bernardo’s company. And of course, the rest of the cast na sina Maymay Entrata, Kakai Bautista, Jameson Blake and Joross Gamboa, at si­yempre, si Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Erik Matti masaya sa napiling bagong Darna

Happy reportedly si direk Erik Matti with the choice of young star Jane de Leon bilang Darna.

Direk Erik was Star Cinema’s first choice to direct Darna, when they first decided to do the film with Liza Soberano playing the top role.

But as is common knowledge, he begged off. And then, naaksidente nga si Liza, na hanggang ngayon diumano’y nagpapagaling pa.

May nabaling buto sa isang finger ni Liza at kinailangang operahin at gamutin sa U.S., no less.

Kay direk Jerrold Tarog na ngayon ang pagdi-direk ng movie. And he is happy daw with Jane’s choice to play Darna.

Enzo mas priority ang pelikula nila ni Sunshine

Hindi sumama si Enzo Pineda sa kanyang ama na si Eric Pineda, business manager ni Manny Pacquiao sa ongoing boxing match ngayon ng Pambansang Kamao kay Keith Thurman sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Busy rin si Enzo sa nalalapit na showing ng kanyang first ultra sexy movie with Sunshine Cruz, ang Malamaya.

Kailangang tumulong siya sa pagpu-promote ng movie, which also stars Raymond Bagatsing.

A production of Spears Films, ALV Films at Cine Likha, it’s an entry in this year’s Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.

Kaya, ang playdate nito ay from August 2, to 11 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Direction: Leilani Chavez at Danica Sta. Lucia.

Another project which keeps Enzo busy is his new series, ay ang Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.
