Wait for Jericho Rosales to allow his 15 year-old son, Santino, to join showbiz. And, surely, like his dad, he will end up a big star.

But obviously, the boy has no plans na sundan ang footsteps ng kanyang ama.

He was still very young, according to Jericho when Santino, whom he fondly calls Saint, was born. Yet, that early he tried na to be an ideal father to him.

“His Mom brought him up well, too,” ani Jericho.

“Saint is a good son. He never gave me nor his mom a problem. I’m proud of him.”

Now more than a year married to his wife. Non-showbiz Kim Jones, Jericho and his wife, he said, are not yet keen on having children. They still plan to travel a lot together.

“Para when we start a family, talagang ready na kami for it,” saad ni Jericho.

Considered as one of the best actors of his generation, Jericho was last year’s Metro Manila Film Festivals’s best actor for his movie, Walang Forever, which Quantum Films produced.

Star Cinema parang makaka-jackpot uli sa Everything…

This year looks like another good, if not excellent year, for Star Cinema. Remember, the film firm, managed by Malou Santos, had two unprecedented blockbuster films to their name, last year.

And these are A Second Chance, starring the love team of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, and the Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Beauty and The Bestie, na pinagsamahan ng real-life best friends na sina Vice Ganda at Coco Martin.

Their opening salvo for 2016, Everything About Her, appears a sure winner. Actually, not just in the box-office, as it stars together for the first time Batangas Governor Vilma Santos and Angel Locsin, plus Xian Lim, with Joyce Bernal directing, kung hindi sa mga awards giving body na rin.

The Cinema Evaluation Board gave the film an “A” rating.

As Direk Joyce said, her stars gave all their best to the movie. Acting-wise, that is.

“Wish ko na maka-trabaho silang muli,” pahayag pa niya.

To which Ate Vi commented: “Ako, I just don’t want to work with you Direk (Joyce) again. I want to be your friend.”

The film opened in theaters nationwide kahapon, January 27.

Bailey may album na rin

Meet the newest singer to join the recording scene. His name is Bailey May.

Bailey is not just a familiar name but a familiar face lalo na sa mga sumubaybay sa Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) 737. He placed 4th in the reality show.

And just recently, Star Records launched his first album, simply titled Bailey.

“Piling-pili ang mga awiting nakapaloob sa album,” anang singer na si Jaime Rivera, otherwise known, too, as the Inspirational Diva. “We made sure na akma ito sa edad niya. At madali ring ma-memorize at awitin, lalo’t nga ng mga ka-edad niya.”

Bailey, according to Jaime, who produced the album nga pala, is 13. He has a British dad and a Filipino mother, who are both singers, too.

They were the ones who inspired him to sing, ani Bailey.

Anim na tracks ang nakapa-loob sa album, two of which, Can You Be My Girl? at Gusto Kita, ay parehong si Jamie ang nag-compose.

Also in the Bailey album, na tiyak magpapakilig sa kanyang fans and followers, are the song Boom Goes My Heart, a hiphop, Now We’re Together, Gotta Win at ang revival ng Build Me Up, Butter Cup.
