Albert haharapin muna ang pagluluksa

Did we hear it right that Albert Martinez, dahil obviously sa naganap na ’di inaasahang pagkamatay ng asawang si Liezl Martinez, ay nag-quit na bilang lead actor ng pelikulang Sugo?

Si Joel Lamangan ang direktor ng Sugo, which is said to be based on a story about the Iglesia ni Cristo founder, Felix Manalo.

Edu ayaw nang maglagare ng trabaho

Gumuwapo ka yata, bungad kay Edu Manzano ng ilang members of the entertainment press na nagpunta sa ipinatawag niyang intimate tsikahan sa ilang kaibigang press. Common knowledge na isa si Edu sa mga bida sa kasisimulang serye na Bridges of Love ng ABS-CBN.

Bridges… was we all know is Edu’s first project with ABS-CBN after his contract with TV5 expired. Kasama niya sa nabanggit na series sina Jericho Rosales, Paulo Avelino, at Maja Salvador.

Although Bridges… started airing Monday, mapapanood pa lamang daw si Edu sa mga eksena today, Wednesday.

Ang karakter niya ang most powerful role sa series. He plays Lorenzo Antonio, whom no one would dare cross, as his name is synonymous to power and authority.

Likewise, he is a man of mystery, as he has never been married. Pero mayroon siyang adopted son na si Carlos (played by Paulo), who is the only one authorized to come close to and dare oppose him.

What his past is all about, he doesn’t know yet either, as he laughed, it’s not yet mentioned sa script na kanyang nababasa.

Hindi raw tulad dati, noong mas bata pa siya, wala na raw ­siyang balak ngayong ‘maglagare’, meaning simultaneously doing a movie and TV show, much less, series.

He is turning 60 in September.

Bukod sa paglabas-labas pa niya sa TV, may ibang negosyo si Edu, kabilang na ang tatlong restaurant, two of which are located in Makati, the other one at City of Dreams.

Nagmamay-ari rin siya ng isang art gallery.

Edu is now discreet when it comes to his lovelife.

On the prospect of him trying politics anew, he’d rather not discuss it yet. But he is aware of the political situation in the country.

Well, good luck, Edu, in all your endeavors.

Kung paano naman daw niya name-maintain ang kanyang looks, Edu swears, he has no secret. Wala raw siyang kung anu-anong ritual na sinusunod. Although daw, nagsa-submit siya to a facial massage at least once a month.

He remains one of the best-dressed actors sa local showbiz.

Patrick may honeymoon pa kahit may anak na sila nang mapapangasawa

Definitely, Salve A., March 21 na ang kasal ni Patrick Garcia at ng kanyang non-showbiz girlfriend na si Nikka Martinez.

Gaganapin ang kasalan sa Blue Leaf Pavillion in Taguig City.

Patrick and Nikka have a daughter na nagngangalang Chelsea. May elder son naman si Patrick na si Alex Jazz, six years old, with actress Jennylyn Mercado.

The boy will be his Dad and future stepmother’s ring bearer sa wedding. Sasamahan siya ng ina na si Jennylyn.

Jennylyn has learned to be a good sport.

Sa kanila namang honeymoon, Patrick said they will go abroad with daughter Chelsea.

At kapag nakauwi na sila, Patrick keeps his fingers crossed na may magandang assignment muli na naghihintay sa kanya sa home network niyang ABS-CBN, kung saan gumanap siya sa very challenging na character  sa nagtapos na Two Wives.
