Nagkakaroon ng separation anxiety si Miss World 2013 Megan Young dahil malapit na niyang ipasa ang kanyang korona sa bagong hihirangin na Miss World.
Magaganap ang Miss World 2014 pageant sa London on December 14.
“I am happy to pass on the crown to the girl who will be the new Miss World.
“But at the same time, nalulungkot din ako dahil masyado na akong naging attached sa korona ko.
“The fact that you will see your crown on another girl, parang ‘Uy akin ‘yan, eh!’ It will be a heartbreaking moment for me.
“Kasi after I put it on the new Miss World, nasa kanya na ang spotlight from there on.
“But of course, I will be happy for whoever will be Miss World for this year.
“Kahit na nasa tabi na lang ako, I want the new Miss World to also experience what I’ve experienced.
“It will be a year of so many surprises and I want the new Miss World to experience those moments,” ngiti pa ni Megan.
We are praying for a back-to-back win. Kaya we are all out in our support for Valerie,” diin pa niya.
All children should be able to dream about what they want to be when they grow up. Save the Children’s work means that more children can have those dreams. I am excited about the opportunity to work alongside this amazing charity and am privileged to be able to use my work for this excellent cause.”
“It is a privilege to be a representative of Save the Children and be given the opportunity to help children in need, especially typhoon Yolanda survivors. I want to do whatever I can to help provide them everything they need so they can recover from their experiences and reach their full potential.”
