Salve A., in case you care to know kung anong latest kay Kim Atienza, well artista na rin po siya.
Yes, in addition to his being one of the most engaging hosts of the daily noontime musical show on ABS-CBN, It’s Showtime, and credible and knowledgeable host of the weekly Matanglawin, ng Kapamilya Network, sasabak na rin po sa acting si Kim, ito’y ayon mismo sa nakababata niyang artistahin ding kapatid na si Lei. Featured si Kim sa isa sa tatlong episodes ng Shake, Rattle and Roll XV, entry ng film firm ni Mother Lily, Regal Entertainment, sa Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year.
The episode, titled Flight 666, marks the directorial debut of former TV5 Creative and Entertainment head, Perci Intalan, for a mainstream movie.
Nakapagdirek na kasi ng indie movie si Direk Perci, Dementia, which starred Nora Aunor.
Flight 666 co-stars Kim with Matteo Guidicelli, Lovi Poe and Daniel Matsunaga.
Also featured in Flight 666 is Yael Yuson, Karylle’s better-half.
Kim and Karylle are both hosts ng It’s Showtime.
Ayon pa rin kay Lei, ’di siya nagtataka na pinasok ng kanyang Kuya Kim ang showbiz, samantalang pangarap daw ng Daddy niya for him was to follow his footsteps as a politician.
Lito Atienza, their Dad, was former Manila Mayor and now a Congressman.
Ganunpaman daw, their Dad understands Kim’s love for the art, showbiz, in particular. At a young age, ayon pa rin kay Lei, Kim took up ballet lessons.
Kung sabagay daw, silang lahat na mga Atienza children love dancing, which is not surprising, since their Dad and Mom daw are former members of a dance troupe, which has performed in key cities abroad.
Yesterday, September 13, was the first airing ng re-launch ng programang Maynila, which has been on the air for the last 16 years.
Sa totoo lang, we missed Representative Lito as host of the show, which still has Direk Paul Noble at the helm.
We have to admit, though, that Maynila, which now has the subtitle Ang Kuwento mo, is even more engaging. And sure na mas nakaka-relate ang mga manonood of all ages at katayuan sa buhay.
The former Maynila, after all, focused more on the stories na pang-teenagers. Na tanging mga teenager lang siyempre ang nakaka-relate, not to say nagkakainteres.
Well, with the new Maynila, family problems, identity crisis, trust issues between couples and other else will reportedly be discussed.
It would be small wonder, therefore, Salve A., if another 16 years of Maynila await the show.
Mapapanood pa rin ang Maynila tuwing 10 a.m. every Saturday sa GMA 7.
Maynilad Golden Production, Incorporated remains as the show’s producer.
Kris at Richard pareho ang pinasok na negosyo
Guess what else, Salve A., Kris Aquino has in common with Richard Yap, Ser Chief to his followers in the long-time pre-afternoon series, Be Careful With My Heart other than of course, that the two of them have a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry this year?
Kris is cast with Coco Martin in the horror-suspense flick, Feng Shui 2, directed by Chito Roño. Richard naman is with Vice Ganda and Kris’ son, Bimby Aquino-Yap, in The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin 2, directed naman by Wenn Deramas.
As to what the two of them have in common, they are now both franchisees of Chowking - chain of fastfood restaurants.
While currently si Kris ang endorser ng naturang food chain, matatandaang Richard was discovered via a commercial he did for Chowking, nung wala pa siya sa showbiz.
