If Julia Barretto and Enrique Gil would have their way, they would have wanted na ma-extend pa for a little longer ang kanilang soon-to-be completed first series together, Mirabella.
As both admitted sa farewell presscon organized for the series, naging super extra close silang dalawa. Don’t get them wrong though, as nothing more than friends actually developed between them. Sabi nga ni Enrique: ‘‘Super bata pa si Julia. She’s only 16.
And nobody can argue that she is currently one of the most beautiful faces among the young stars sa ABS-CBN.
On the other hand, Julia described Enrique naman as fun to work with. Palagi raw siya nitong pinatatawa. Bukod sa he tries to always please her.
Sana, there will be a chance for them to work together again, pahayag ng dalawa.
On her other leading man in Mirabella, Sam Concepcion, Julia said kasing bait ito ni Enrique. Although of course, between the two, mas madalas niyang maka-eksena si Enrique. Kaya mas nabigyan daw siya ng pagkakataong makilala nang higit kesa kay Sam.
‘‘Although like Enrique, I feel safe with Sam,’’ susog pa ni Julia. ‘‘Feel ko, I’m a lady when I’m with them.’’
All three of them have no idea what their next project will be. But they are keeping their fingers crossed that they will all be busy soon.
Best in long gown at paborito na si Angelia Gabrena Ong, ‘di nabingwit ang korona
Although may choice kami for a winner among the candidates for Miss Manila 2014, we won’t argue that the judges, which consisted among others two very credible people, Former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz and banker cum art collector and movie aficionado, Danny Dolor, chose Krischelle Halili as the winner.
Bagama’t Krischelle didn’t look every inch a queen, lalo at first look, ‘di puwedeng ‘di mo siya hangaan once she starts talking na, as she is not just articulate but rather profound as well.
Which is not a surprise, as according to his credentials, she finished nursing summa cum laude at the Centro Escolar University (CEU).
A true-blooded Manileña, she is now taking up medicine sa University of Sto. Tomas.
First runner-up was Princess Abella, followed by our favored candidate, Angelia Gabrena Ong.
Angelia was a favorite among members of the press at the presentation of the candidates held at the Diamond Hotel a few weeks back.
She was also given a special award for being the candidate na piÂnaÂkamagandang magdala ng long gown.
Third runner-up naman si Kayesha Clauden Chua, and fourth runner-up, Julian Aurine Flores.
The Miss Manila 2014 beauty and brains search was held in celebration of this year’s Araw ng Maynila (June 24).
Proceeds of the event will benefit the Dialysis Center, a project of MARE Foundation, Inc., a non-profit institution headed by Dr. Loi Ejercito, better-half of former President and now, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.
Chairperson for the pageant was Jackie Ejercito-Lopez. Project consultant naman ang dating beauty queen na si Jewel May Lobaton.
