Guess what GMA 7 contract talents Marian Rivera and Carla Abellana have in common, maliban of course, si Marian ang holder, kumbaga, ng kanilang network’s title na primetime queen.
Kahit pa nakapagmamalaki si Carla na unprecedented ang ratings na na-earn ng kanyang last series, My Husband’s Lover, co-starring her with Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez.
Both De La Salle University graduates, Marian in the University’s branch in Cavite, and Carla finished college bilang cum laude.
Both has, for their previous boyfriends, mga basketball players. Si Marian was formerly linked to Ervic Vijandre, na isang artista na rin ngayon.
Si Carla naman, ayon sa kanya, had for her ex-boyfriend, JC Intal, now engaged to be married to ABS-CBN TV host, Bianca Gonzalez.
After they broke up, naging sila ng kanyang fellow GMA 7 contract talent, si Geoff Eigenmann, na ngayon ay ex na rin ng aktres.
Marian naman is enjoying a happy relationship with Dingdong Dantes, na willing to marry her anytime. Actually, go-signal na lang daw ni Marian ang hinihintay ni Dingdong at pakakasalan niya ang girlfriend sa anumang church of her choice.
Carla at Tom, sa trabaho lang talaga ang ‘relasyon’
At the recent presscon of Carla’s soon-to-be released flick with Regal Entertainment, So It’s You, tinanong namin ni Carla, kung sino na ngayon ang kanyang bagong ‘‘so it’s you,’’ at honestly naman niyang inaamin na break na sila ni Geoff, ang kanyang maliksing sagot, ‘‘Wala pa.’’ And she’s not looking for one raw.
‘‘After all,’’ aniya, ‘‘kung darating siya, well, he will be welcomed.’’
Itinanggi rin niyang may something more than just being a tandem in So It’s You -between her and Tom, who himself admitted at the presscon na wala na rin sila ng kanyang singer-stage performer girlfriend, si K-La Rivera.
If at all, tulad daw ng naging usapan nila ni K-La, they will both concentrate on their respective showbiz careers. Both Tom and K-La’s families are based abroad. Tom’s in the U.S. at ang kay K-La, sa Canada.
Bryan, tinalo sina Francis, Cayen at Mommy Osie sa papayatan!
Though in the The Biggest Losers Pinoy Doubles, Francis (Asis pala ang surname niya) placed second runner-up lang at nag-uwi ng cash prize of P300,000, plus appliances and free membership sa Gold Gym. He felt more than happy and satisfied. After all, pinagbigyan lang uli siyang makabalik sa camp, together with Carl, to fill in two slots, dahil ang kailangan na semi-finalists were four pairs.
But since both ang pairs nina Bryan, his sister, Ikya, and Kayen, her husband Carl ay hindi nakapasok na magkasama sa final four, sila lang ng kapareha niyang si Mama Osie ang naiwanang team.
Mommy Osie, who is 45 years old (Francis is 24), was third runner-up at ang cash prize na kanyang napanalunan ay P200K.
Bryan emerged the champ with a 1M win. First runner-up si Kayen at nanalo ng cash prize of P500K.
Si Iza Calzado, ang host ng season ngayon ng Pinoy Biggest Loser, with Mateo Guidicelli at Robi Domingo for her co-hosts.
Ang coaches naman ay ang mag-asawang Jim at Toni Saret.
