How nice to hear, Salve A., that starting Monday, balik na si Vhong Navarro sa It’s Showtime bilang TV host.
Yes, full time. ’Di tulad noong Saturday when ‘‘patikim’’ lang, kumbaga, ang ginawa ng kanyang mga kasamahan sa program, to prove, perhaps, na yes he is up and about.
Anytime soon, too, Vhong might resume work sa kanyang naÂbinbin ding pelikulang horror-suspense flick, tentatively titled The Possessed, which Bb. Joyce Bernal directs.
Originally cast as Vhong’s leading lady in the movie was Angel Locsin.
Angel was pulled out from the cast dahil sa kanyang series na The Legal Wife. She plays the title role kaya the greater bulk of the responsibility of maintaining its current high ratings depend on her.
It would have been their first teamup in a movie after their tandem in the comedy series, Toda Max.
Wonder who will be paired with Vhong, as Angel, anyway we look at it, is definitely an act hard to follow.
Lucho ni Juday endorser na rin
Lucho, three-year-old son of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan AgonÂcillo, like his elder sister, Yohan, now shares the limelight with her mom as commercial endorser.
While Yohan and her mom are endorsers ng isang brand of cheese, milk naman na pambata ang pinagbibili ng mag-inang Judy Ann at Lucho.
Manny Valera nagtayo ng sariling acting school
Wow, good to hear as well that talent manager Manny Valera has put up an acting school called DMV (for Director Manny Valera) House of Acting and Performing Arts or DMV HAPA for short).
Well, let’s hope, Salve A., na unlike the Artista Academy, a supposed acting school as well, which former GMA 7 executive and now a top gun of TV5 Wilma Galvante originally planned to put up, will succeed and last.
The Artista Academy, if we all remember it right, even had its own TV show of the same title which saw several aspiring actors (male and female) as contestants.
As in all reality shows, two of them emerged out as winners, Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert.
Both were given the chance, in fairness to the show, to be featured in the programs produced by the network.
Sadly, nothing is being heard about them anymore. Mabuti pa nga at may ilang contestants sa reaÂlity show na aktibo pa ngayon. Some of them are featured in the network’s new show, Confessions of a Torpe.
Pero walang nakakaalam kung ang school na Artista Academy still exist.
Nagtatanong lang po.
Charice tuloy ang international raket
Don’t count Charice out as a Filipino singer who made it to the international scene kumbaga.
Right now, after all, this 21-year-old self-confessed ‘‘lesbian,’’ is set to perform on March 11, with other international singers at a benefit concert called Pinoy Relief to be staged at the Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.
The concert is reportedly for the benefit of the victims of super typhoon Yolanda.
Sa March 15 ay nasa Wilshire Ebelle Theater in Los Angeles naman si Charice.
She has, likewise, embarked on a singing tour in Canada and Australia.
