Angel pararangalan ng mga guro
Though nominated lang siya for best actress for her performance in her movie Four Sisters and a Wedding sa PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Movies, na nakatakdang ganapin ngayong gabi (March 9) sa Solaire Resort and Casino Ballroom (near Mall of Asia), still ay honored daw si Angel Locsin considering that, aside nga naman from Bea Alonzo who is herself a nominee for best actress also for Four Sisters…, candidate rin for the same award sina Nora Aunor (for the indie movie, Kuwento ni Mabuti) at Vilma Santos (Ekstra, also an indie film).
In the PMPC Star Awards for Movies two years ago, Angel romped away with the best actress trophy for In the Name of Love, where her leading man, Aga Muhlach, won best actor naman.
In this particular awards ceremony, Aga, together with Judy Ann Santos, Eugene Domingo, AiAi delas Alas, John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, Piolo Pascual, at Baron Geisler, will be a recipient of the organization’s 2014 Dekada Award.
From among the directors, the same award will be given to Joel Lamangan, Jose Javier Reyes, Maryo delos Reyes, Mark Meily, Olivia Lamasan, and Jerrold Tarrog.
Of Angel, for the same movie, Four Sisters and a Wedding, the PASADO (Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro), a non-stock and non-profit organization, is awarding the actress the trophy of PinakaPASADOng Katuwang na Aktres (2013).
The awards ceremony will be held on April 5, 6 p.m., at the Far Eastern University (FEU).
The PASADO, headed by Professor Emmanuel Gonzales of FEU, is composed of teachers and professors from different schools and universities all over the country.
Sen. Grace walang balak sa alok na mag-VP
Guess nga pala who serves as tagapayo (adviser) ng PASADO?
Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares, that’s who.
Of Sen. Grace, definite nang wala siyang balak tumakbo for a higher office sa darating na 2016 elections.
Usap-usapan kasi na she is being enticed to run for vice president, yes, bilang running mate raw ni Sen. Bongbong Marcos, who, we heard, is definitely running for the highest office in the land come 2016.
Ayon kay Sen. Grace mismo, which her Mommy Susan Roces, confirmed as well, she will finish her term as senator bago siya magplano pa ng higher position.
Ganun din daw ang desisyon ni Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto, who, again, we heard, is being invited by Vice President Jejomar “Jojo†Binay to run as his ally.
Definite na kasi ang plano ni Vice President Jojo na tatakbo sa posisyong iba-vacate ni President Noynoy Aquino in two years time.
Did we hear it right (again) na kapag ’di nga nakumbinsi ni VP Binay si Gov. Vi, he will settle na lang with Sen. Jinggoy Estrada for his running mate?
Away-pamilya sa showbiz nadagdagan
How sad, Salve A., na ang listahan ng celebrities natin na may problema with their children ay nadagdagan with the current feud ongoing between Rosanna Roces and her son, Dennis “Onyok†Adriano.
Mismong si Onyok daw ang umamin nito, in an interview he has with Lolit Solis, in the showbiz talk program Startalk on GMA 7.
Lolit was once the talent manager of Onyok’s mom but had a falling out.
