Game show ni Aga extended ng tatlong season

Guess kung ilang seasons more na-extend ang game program ni Aga Muhlach, Let’s Ask Pilipinas on TV5, which actually is on extended run na for two weeks mula nang mag-start ito a few seasons back.

Three more seasons. Equivalent to 36 weeks.

‘‘God is good. When I decided to venture into game show hosting, I just wanted to prove I can do it, ’’ ani Aga.

‘‘The same purpose on why I accepted TV5’s offer to host the educational Pinoy Explorer which lasted for many seasons. Sayang nga, they had to end the show.”

That he is enjoying, too, Let’s Ask Pilipinas, as much as he did Pinoy Explorer, ay walang duda. The program allows him to interact with people while they play a game na familiar sa bawat Pilipino. At ang sumasagot ng kanilang tanong ay buong Pilipinas.

Doesn’t he miss doing TV shows? Sitcoms like Okidokidoc (the sitcom which he shared with the late Babalu for the last eight years on ABS-CBN) and Okay Fine… Whatever which also lasted for four years.

In Okay Fine…, Aga remembers Tado as a co-star. He was not in the country when the latter met the bus accident.

‘‘Malalim siyang tao. Kapag wala siya sa harap ng camera madalas he is all by himself,’’ Aga describes Tado.

‘‘Pero mabait siya. Magaling makisama.”

Aga admits nami-miss niya ang umarte sa TV, lalo pa man din sa pelikula. Kaya he looks forward daw to starting with a project that Star Cinema is currently preparing for him and which will reunite him with Lea Salonga.

Lea was Aga’s leading lady in two of his blockbuster and much-admired movies Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal? (direction: Jose “Joey” Javier Reyes) and Sana Maulit Muli (direction: Olive Lamasan).

His last movie appearance was In the Name of Love which won for both him and his leading lady Angel Locsin several acting trophies.

Also produced by Star Cinema, In the Name… also had Direk Olive at the helm.

Expected home tomorrow, Sunday Feb. 23, is Aga’s wife Charlene Gonzales. She and her mom are coming home together.

‘‘Naiwanan kasi sila roon. If you recall, nauna silang umalis kasama ang mga bata (Atasha and Andres),” ani Aga.

‘‘I joined them to spend Christmas and the New Year with them. Umuwi ako, kasama ang dalawang bata, first week ng January. May taping na kasi uli ako for Let’s Ask Pilipinas and Pinoy Explorer. The kambal naman had to attend classes.’’

The Muhlachs own a house in Las Vegas, Nevada. Maraming dapat ayusin sa bahay, ayon kay Aga, na inasikaso muna nina Charlene at Elvie Gonzales (mommy ni Charlene) bago sila bumalik dito.

Coco dumodoble ang suwerte, napapa-wow sa sarili

Now, dobleng suwerte ang magaganap, ’pag nagkataon, kay Coco Martin.

Yes, once he starts work in a new movie na gagawin niya for Star Cinema at Viva Films.

The film, na wala pang titulo as of this writing, will realize his wish na 2makatrabaho si Sarah Geronimo. And for a bonus, the film will have award-winning cum blockbuster director Olive Lamasan at the helm.

No wonder na madalas napapa-wow si Coco sa sarili niya. Considering nga, that, aside from a movie, ay may kasalukuyan pa siyang ginagawang soap na Ikaw Lamang with Kim Chiu and Julia Montes as his leading lady.

Directing Ikaw Lamang is another favorite director, si Malu Sevilla who was one of his directors in Juan dela Cruz, ang katatapos niyang teleserye.
