Kim natuto na sa kapalpakan

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim both abhor negative people. But since they happen to be in a business, na sabihin na nating may iba’t ibang ugali ang kanilang mga katrabaho, bukod pa sa iba’t ibang paraan ng pakikisama, they have learned to deal with them.

Lalo na si Kim, who admits she almost grew up in the business. She was 16 when upon being proclaimed champ in the teenage edition of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) ay isinabak kaagad siya ng ABS-CBN sa pag-aartista.

Her soon to be released flick, Bride for Rent, is her second film with Xian as a tandem. They were first teamed up in the movie Bakit ’Di Ka Crush ng Crush Mo? which was a confirmed blockbuster.

‘‘We are hoping for the best as well na maging blockbuster din ang Bride For Rent,’’ sabi ni Kim. ‘‘Lalo pa’t we have no less blockbuster director Mae Czarina Cruz na namahala ng pelikula.’’

Direk Mae, who will soon be a bride to an old classmate in high school, a divorcee, was the director of the blockbuster Star Cinema movie She’s the One starring Bea Alonzo, Enrique Gil, and Dingdong Dan­tes.

Unang natuklasan ang chemistry nina Kim at Xian bilang magka-love team when they first appeared together in the TV series My Binondo Girl.

By the way, featured as Xian’s lola in Bride for Rent is veteran songbird and actress Pilita Corrales. Siya ang dahilan why Xian had to ‘‘rent’’ for himself a ‘‘bride’’ dahil ayaw ni­to siyang pamanahan unless may asawa na siya.

Ruru hindi nag-iisa sa pamilya na may weird na pangalan

Ruru Madrid, GMA 7 young contract talent (he’s 16 years old), agrees that Ruru for a first name sounds unfamiliar. If not unusual.
