Janice nakipag-ayos na kay John

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Thanks for the season (Christmas, ’di ba?) at balitang nagkabati na ang dating mag-asawang sina Janice de Belen at John Estrada. Sana nga pangmatagalan na ito.

It’s common knowledge that since naghiwalay sila and had their marriage annulled in 2004, ’di na nagbabatian ang dalawa. Much less, nag-uusap. Kahit alang-alang man lang sa kanilang apat na anak, sina Inah, Moira, Kaila, and their only boy, Yuan, a carbon copy ni John.

Alam ng publiko na may panganay na anak si Janice kay Aga Muhlach. Now in his 20s, Iggy Boy Muhlach (the other four carrying their dad’s apelyido, Estrada) is now a certified chef and is working in a plush hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Iggy Boy is married na and has two kids, a boy and a girl.

Going back to Janice and John’s being on speaking terms now, ayaw na niyang idetalye kung paano at bakit nagbati silang dating mag-asawa. Pero as she calmly explained: “Dati naman kaming mag-asawa at may mga anak. Dapat lang na magkabati kami.”

John is now married, too, and has a daughter by new wife, former Miss Earth Priscilla Meirelles, a Brazilian.

Janice, on the other hand, said having a new husband or falling in love is not her immediate desire. Not just this Christmas but anytime of the year.

She is busy with two programs, both for ABS-CBN. These are the daily (except weekdays) series, Honesto, co-starring her with Eddie Garcia, Joel Torre, Nonie Buencamino, Angel Aquino, Melissa Ricks, Joseph Marco, and five-year-old Raikko Mateo who plays the title role.

Sundays, she hosts the talk program, Buzz ng Bayan, with Boy Abunda and Carmina Villaroel.

Angel inuulan ng awards

Ang soon to pass year appears truly a year for awards for actress and sexy Angel Locsin.

Heto nga at maituturing ng yearend, kumbaga, may humabol pang award for her, ang Makabata Award from Anak-TV.

’Di nga ba at only a month ago, nakatanggap naman siya ng award mula sa organisasyong headed by PM columnist Emy Abuan where she was cited for her humanitarian efforts?

Nitong mga nakaraang taon nga naman, common knowledge kung paano gumagawa siya ng paraan, kahit busy siya with her personal and professional schedule, para lang makatulong sa mga nangangailangan. A Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) volunteer, she joined other volunteers para mag-pack ng mga donation for the victims of typhoon Yolanda sa Kabisayaan.

She, likewise, volunteered na sumama sa mga organisasyon, including that of Kris Aquino’s invitation for her to join her Kris TV group para personal na mag-distribute ng donations sa Iloilo at Leyte.

On her own, she personally requested donations from some of her endorsements.

It was also this year, too, that awards for best actress for her movie One More Try, entry ng Star Cinema in last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, ay wari mo’y “umulan” para kay Angel.

She won the best actress trophy from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Movies, mula rin sa Guillermo Mendoza Scholarship Foundation Awards for Box-Office King and Queen, and another from a student group.

One More Try, directed by Ruel Bayani, also won awards din for her co-stars Dingdong Dantes and Angelica Panganiban.
