Maraming banda magsasama-sama para sa Yolanda, JV inorganisa!

Only three among the more or less 20 bands and solo artists who have somehow committed themselves to perform at a benefit concert, titled After­shock, which the Office of Senator Joseph Victor “JV” G. Ejercito and the City Government of San Juan organized, appeared sa presscon for the event kahapon, Wednesday (Nov. 20).

These were Giselle Sanchez, Ronnie Quizon, at Luke Mijares.

The other performers who have given their word to grace the event, which aims to raise funds for the relief and rehabilitation of areas devastated by the monster typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas were no show.

But the senator also hopes to give assistance to the areas damaged by typhoon Santi in Central Luzon, Bohol and Cebu, which was hit by the magnitude 7.2 tremor in Bohol and Cebu. And of course, the victims as well of the Zamboanga City siege.

Nevertheless, these artists are the True Faith, Shamrock, Mojofly, Orient Pearl, Nexxus, Alamid, The Youth, Soapdish, Paolo Santos, Nyoy Volante, Filipinas Band, Sheree, Karla Estrada, and Alvin Anson among others.

This concert is, likewise, organized in partnership with Oplan Kaagapay of the Junior Chamber International Philippines (JCPI) and the JCI-Pinag­labanan.

Umaasa si Senator JV and his partners na makikiisa rin ang ang ibang recording companies and TV network para selfless cause na ito.

Home Sweetie home nina Toni at John Lloyd ipa-pattern kina Dolphy at Nida

Busy sa kasalukuyan si Toni Gonzaga with two big projects. Her upcoming sitcom na may titulong Home Sweetie Home with John Lloyd Cruz and a still untitled movie with Piolo Pascual, with Olive Lamasan directing and Star Cinema producing.

Bagama’t wala pang tiyak kung sino ang magdidirek ng Home Sweetie, allegedly ipa-pattern sa long-lasting popular sitcom ng ngayo’y namayapa nang sina Dolphy at Nida Blanca, balitang makakasama nina John Lloyd sina Sandy Andolong, Rico J. Puno, and child actor Clarence Delgado.

While nagkapareha na rin sina John Lloyd at Toni sa pelikulang My Amnesia, first time na magtatambal sina Piolo at Toni sa isang project, mapa-TV o pelikula.

No wonder, ayon kay Toni, excited siya na makatrabaho si Piolo. After all, it will be recalled na nagkasama-sama na sila for a commercial sa isang softdrink.

At that time, ani Toni, ’di pumasok sa isip niyang mapapasok siya sa showbiz. All she wanted was to be a commercial model.

Then one time, she was summoned para mapasama sa isang commercial na tampok si Piolo, na artista na noon. Toni was supposed to be among the crowd na kunwari, hangang-hanga kay Piolo.

May nakatakda nang isang commercial model who would appear with Piolo and supposedly sisigaw ng ‘I love you, Piolo’.

“Kaya, kasabay ng pagtaas ng aking kamay, lumapit na ako sa casting director at sabi ko, ako, ako ang piliin n’yo. Kayang-kaya ko ’yan,” bulalas daw ni Toni.
