Angel halos dalawang taong walang serye!

Dahil magkasunod nga namang napanalunan ni Angel Locsin ang award for best actress in two past awards ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies, quite a number are working if pang-award na naman ba ang kanyang performace sa kanyang kasalukuyang ginagawang movie, produced again by Star Cinema and directed by blockbuster director, Cathy Garcia-Molina, pero wala pa nga lang na tiyak na titulo.

The film, co-starring Angel with Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao, at Enchong Dee, is the first among the films each month na ipalalabas ng Star Cinema para sa kanila 20th Anniversary offering this year. It is earmarked for release last Wednesday ng May.

Bukod nga naman sa dalawang pelikulang successively in two years ay nagpanalo sa kanya ng magkasunod ding best actress awards and these are, of course, In the Name of Love and One More Try, respectively, ang isa pa niyang movie, Unofficially Yours, ay certified blockbuster naman.

This is not to say, of course, that her two award winning movies were not top grosser. They were. In fact, One More Try emerged second top grosser in last year’s Metro Manila Filmfest.

Angel now, likewise, look forward sa gagawin niyang TV series. Almost two years na nga namang naipalabas ang series niyang Imortal, which co-starred her with John Lloyd Cruz.

This, of course, all happened when mother and sons went on a trip last Holy Week to Paris. Rome, where the Vatican is, ay only a few hours away from Paris, by car or train.

If may isang asset si Kris na alam namin, ito ay ang kanyang pagiging religious. Alam namin her day is never complete without her reciting the Holy Rosary.

Well, now that Kris is back in town, back to work uli siya despite her pronouncement before she left na iiwanan na niya ang lahat ng kanyang TV shows, para ma-focus na ang kanyang mind and heart sa pag-aasikaso kina Joshua at Bimby.

As per the statement ng ABS CBN, under contract siya to the Network. Kaya, she has first to finish all her commitments with the Network bago siya puwedeng mag-decide whether to really totally give up her career or pursue it pa rin.

Her ongoing series, Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw, is about to end na in a week’s time. Directed by Joyce Bernal, it co-stars her with Robin Padilla, Anne Curtis, Tirso Cruz III, Ian Veneracion, and Gloria Sevilla, among others.

She sits as one of the judges, together with AiAi delas Alas and former ABS-CBN President, FMG (Freddie M. Garcia), ng reality program na Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT), now on its fourth season and hosted by Luis Manzano at Billy Crawford.

There are also talks that she might start with a new showbiz talk show with Boy Abunda as co-host.

On the issue whether she has any political plans in the 2016 elections, Kris is keeping num about it. Obvious na satisfied siya sa kasalukuyang being just the youngest sister ni President Noynoy Aquino.
