Kauna-unahang winner ng Pinoy MasterChef may gagastusin na sa kasal!

Wow, finally, matutupad na ni JR Royol, isa sa four finalists ng katatapos na MasterChef Pinoy Edition: The Live Cook-off na ginanap Saturday sa SM North EDSA Skydome ngayong siya ang tinanghal na winner bilang kauna-unahang Pinoy MasterChef, programa ng ABS-CBN, ang pa­ngarap niyang mapakasalan ang kanyang girlfriend of a few years!

Ito kasi ang ipinahayag ni JR na kanyang unang gagawin once mapanalunan niya ang cash prize na premyong P1M bilang Pinoy MasterChef. Bukod pa, of course, sa balak niyang ‘‘mapatikim’’ din ng premyo ang kanyang mga mahal sa buhay, obviously ang mga magulang at kapatid niya.

Ang matitira raw ay pupuhananin niya sa isang negosyong may kinalaman siyempre pa sa pagkain. As it is, nasimulan na niyang magkaroon ng home cooking business.

Matutupad din ang pangarap ni JR na mag-aral pa sa pagluluto dahil bukod sa P1M ay kasama rin sa mga prize na kanyang napanalunan ang pumalaot sa diploma program for professional culinary arts scholarship sa Center for Asian Culinary Studies. Makakatanggap din si JR ng kitchen showcase from Whirlpool.

The three runners-up, sina Carla, Ivory, at Myra ay hindi rin, siyempre, nagsiuwing luhaan.

Si Carla, for example, first runner-up, went home with P500,000 (also in cash); Ivory, 2nd placer, P300,000; at Myra, 3rd runner-up, P200,000.

All three of them ay pare-pareho ring nagwagi ng Fujidenzo kitchen package, plus scholarship din sa Center for Asian Culinary Studies.

Cynthia Villar seryoso na magka-hanapbuhay ang mga Pinoy

Bagama’t kabilang si former Las Piñas Congresswoman Cynthia Villar sa mga senatoriable ng Liberal Party and as we all know the preferred color ng partido is yellow, si Ginang Cynthia chooses to wear red.

Naka-red attire si Ginang Villar when she met members of the entertainment press at a presscon organized by TV host and entertainment columnist Lolit Solis, held at a branch of Max’s Restaurant, located at the ground floor of the Star Mall in Mandaluyong City which the Villars own.

Ginang Villar’s passion for red colors correlates with her fiery desire to alleviate the condition of our poor population. At ’di sa pamamaraang kusang-loob na siyang magbibigay kung anuman na maitutulong niya sa mga ito.

Sa halip, she has created livelihood projects na magtuturo sa mga ito ng tamang pamamaraan to help them earn their keep.

Sinimulan niya itong kanyang project sa Las Piñas where she has served as representative for three terms (ang kanyang anak na si Mark ang kasalukuyang congressman ng kanilang lugar). She put up livelihood centers or green social enterprises sa Las Piñas.

In no time, she was able to provide livelihood to 500 families sa Las Piñas which easily earned her the tag Misis Hanep Buhay.

Thus, she started to dream of sharing the program with other communities. And, so far, nakapagpatayo na siya ng 100 centers for her livelihood projects in some places in the country.

Once elected senator, dream niya to push through with her livelihood projects all over the country. Naniniwala raw kasi siya ang pagkakaroon ng hanap­buhay ng bawat pamilya ang pinakamagandang paraan para makaahon sa kahirapan ang mga Pilipino.

Praktikal ang mga naisip niyang pamamaraan ng paghahanapbuhay sa kanyang mga livelihood project. ’Di raw kailangang tapos ang mga ito ng high school, na siya nga namang requirement nga­yon, para makapasok ka bilang factory worker ha­limbawa.

At kung may mga anak na maliliit ang isang inang gustong makapag-hanapbuhay, puwede sa bahay niya mismo ang proyektong kanyang ginagawa.

Mrs. Villar’s projects include water lily products, establishment of composting facility, coconut factory, and blanket.

In Leyte, sinimulan na niya ang plastic pulverising.
