Mojdeh handa  na para sa World Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Handang-handa na si Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh para sa prestihiyosong 2024 World Aquatics (WA) Swimming World Cup na gaganapin sa tatlong magkakahiwalay na venues.

Pangungunahan ni Mojdeh ang kampanya ng national swimming team sa natu­rang world meet na magtatampok ng pinakamatitikas na swimmers sa buong mundo.

Isa ang Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (BEST) standout sa 16 swimmers na nagkwalipika sa qualifying event ng Philippine Aquatics Inc. kamakailan sa Rizal Memorial swimming pool.

Ito ang unang pagsalang ni Mojdeh sa seniors division matapos ang matikas na ratsada nito sa juniors class.

Matatandaang nakapasok si Mojdeh sa semifinals ng World Juniors Swimming Championships noong 2022 sa Lima, Peru habang nagtala ito ng national junior record sa parehong world meet noong 2023 sa Netanya, Israel.

“We are so proud of her. It’s her first international tournament as a member of the national team in the seniors division. It’s a good opportunity for her to further hone her skills and learn from some of the world’s best swimmers also seeing action in the World Cup,” ani BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh na ina ni Micaela Jasmine.

Makakasama ni Mojdeh sa World Cup sina Xiandi Chua, Fil-American Cristina Miranda Renner at Chloe Isleta sa women’s division.

Hahataw naman sa men’s class sina Joshua Gabriel Ang, Miguel Barreto, Kyle Gerard Valdez, Rian Marco Tirol, Metin Junior Mahmutoglu, Rafael Barreto, Jerard Dominic Jacinto, Nathan Jao, Lucio Cuyong II, Raymund Paloma, Albert Jose Amaro II at Robin Christopher Domingo.

Masisilayan sa aksyon si Mojdeh sa second leg ng World Cup na idaraos sa Incheon, South Korea sa Oktubre 24 hanggang 26 at sa third leg na gaganapin sa Oktubre 31 hanggang Nobyembre 2 sa Singapore.
