Mojdehs wagi ng MOS sa National Trials
MANILA, Philippines — Pinangunahan nina World Junior Championships semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh at Behrouz Mohammad Mojdeh ang mga Most Outstanding Swimmer awardees sa katatapos na Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (PAI) National Trials.
Humakot si Micaela Jasmine ng limang ginto at isang pilak para masiguro ang MOS award sa girls’ 16-18 division kung saan nakalikom ito ng kabuuang 171 points.
“I am thrilled to be back in shape finally after 6 months. I finally overcame tough challenges. I was having having a hard time balancing school and training,” ani Micaela Jasmine.
Dalawang Qualifying Time Standard din ang nakuha ni Micaela Jasmine para magkwalipika para sa Southeast Asian Age Group na idaraos sa Bangkok, Thailand.
Ito ay ang 200m breaststroke event kung saan nagtala ito ng 2:40.27 at sa 200m butterfly nang maglagak ito ng 2:19.65.
Nakahirit din ng ginto ang tinaguriang ‘Water Beast’ sa 200m IM (2:26.16), 400m IM (5:13.40) at 100m breaststroke (1:15.40) habang may pilak ito sa 100m butterfly (1:03.15).
“I am so happy that I have achieved personal bests in 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM. This is my best performance yet, surpassing even last year’s World Juniors. Huge thanks to Coach Sherwyn for his patience and support, Dad for the daily drives, Coach Jek for building my strength, and Coach Jeremiah for training me at The Village club,” dagdag ni Micaela Jasmine.
Sa kabilang banda, humakot si Behrouz Mohammad o mas kilala sa tawag na Madi ng limang ginto at apat na pilak para angkinin ang MOS award sa boys’ 11-13 category.
Naghari si Madi sa 400m freestyle (4:40.05), 400m IM (5:10.05), 100m breaststroke (1:13.74), 200m breaststroke (2:42.50) at 200m butterfly (2:20.84).
May pilak naman ito sa 200m IM (2:26.91), 200m backstroke (2:25.89), 100m butterfly (1:04.00) at 50m breaststroke (34.44).
