Jarman kukunin ng GAP para sa 2028 LA Olympics

MANILA, Philippines — Desidido si Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion na dalhin si Filipino-British Jake Jarman sa national team para sa 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Nais ni Carrion na bumuo ng solidong men’s team sa LA Olympics para makasama ni Paris Olympics double gold medalist Carlos Edriel Yulo.

Maliban sa men’s team, target din ni Carrion na magkaroon ng bigating women’s team sa LA Olympics.

“I’m gonna have a team this time. I’m setting up a team — men’s team and women’s team. I need support of the Philippine Sports Commission,” ani Carrion

Bukod kina Yulo at Jarman, tinatarget din na ma­pasama sa LA Olympics si Karl Eldrew Yulo — ang nakababatang kapatid ni Caloy — at isa pang miyembro ng men’s national team.

“Not possibility of having Karl Eldrew but for sure. The lineup will be Carlos, Eldrew, Jake Jarman and one from here in Manila,” wika ni Carrion.

Subalit hindi magiging madali ang pagkuha kay Jarman dahil daraan ito sa matinding proseso.

Kailangang pumayag ang mga magulang ni Jarman gayundin ang mismong si Jake Jarman upang maipormalisa ang paglipat nito ng federation.

“We’re preparing a letter. I have to talk first to the mo­ther if she agrees and Jake himself if he agrees. The officials of Jake Jarman told me, unless the father and Jake Jarman do not agree, wala. Hindi siya makakalaro for Philippine team,” ani Carrion.

May Philippine passport si Jarman na ang ina ay isang Cebuana at hindi niya itinatanggi na may dugo si­yang Pinoy dahil kinumpirma niya ito sa social media.

Malaking tulong kung madadagdag si Jarman sa na­tional team dahil nakasiguro ito ng tansong medalya sa men’s floor exercise event na pinagharian ni Yulo sa 2024 Paris Olympics.
