Pamangkin ni Espinosa sumuntok ng ginto sa ROTC Games

MANILA, Philippines — Isang pamangkin ni dating world boxing le­gend Luisito Espinosa ang sumuntok ng gold medal sa boxing, habang tatlong ginto ang sinipa ng Rizal Technological University-Boni sa taekwondo sa 2nd Philippine Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Games Luzon NCR Leg kahapon.

Umiskor si Carlo Espinosa ng La Concepcion College ng isang first-round Referee Stopped Contest (RSC) sa huling limang se­gundo laban kay Ridge Aqui Burgos ng University of Perpetual Help System DALTA para sa ginto sa men’s lightweight division sa Philippine Air Force bracket sa Tagaytay Combat Sports Center.

“Mas lalo ko pang pag­bubutihin sa Nationals Finals kasi nandoon na iyong mga magagaling,” ani Espinosa sa ROTC Games na konsepto ni Sen. Francis Tolentino katuwang ang Department of National Defense, Commissioner on Higher Education at Philippine Sports Commission.

Wagi sina John Ramgel Calupez ng Philippine Merchant Marine Academy sa men’s lightweight at Cyril John Delfin ng Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific sa men’s light welterweight sa Navy; at April Rose Lacson ng Tarlac State University sa women’s flyweight sa Army.

Sa Tolentino Sports Complex and Activity Center, inangkin ng RTU-Boni ang tatlong gold medals sa Army mula sa panalo nina Edrian Anselmo sa men’s finweight, Mike Salceda sa men’s bantamweight at Selah Pilla sa women’s flyweight.

May tig-dalawang ginto ang Bulacan Agricultural State College at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture sa Army.
