Subic Bay Sand Court handa na para sa beach volley tourney

MANILA, Philippines — Handa na ang Subic Bay Sand Court para pagdausan ng Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Future na magsisimula sa Disyembre 8 hanggang 11 sa Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) sa Zambales.

Sinipat mabuti ni International Volleyball Federation technical delegate Barry “Baz” Wedmaier ng Australia ang ginawang paghahanda sa event kasama ang venue kung saan sisimulan sa Huwebes ang men’s at women’s qualifiers.

“TD Baz is very specific about the venue that it adheres to FIVB standards,” ani Ramon “Tats” Suzara, presidente ng organizing Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF). “And it’s all systems go.”

Malalaman kung sino ang lalaro sa qualifying pagkatapos ng preliminary ngayong araw sa event na suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission sa pamumuno ni chairman Noli Eala,  PLDT Home at Rebisco.

Tig-apat na teams sa men’s at women’s  ang papasok sa main draw na magsisimula sa Biyernes habang ang finals ay sa Linggo.

May 11 teams mula sa Thailand, Czech Republic, Australia, Japan, USA, Israel at Austria ang maglalaban sa men’s qualifiers at ang top four teams ay isasalang sa 11 squads mula sa host Philippines (3 teams), Latvia, Thailand, Gambia, Japan, Israel at Lithuania sa main draw.

Nasa 14 teams mula sa Japan, Norway, Singapore, Czech Republic, Netherlands, USA, Canada, South Korea at France ang qualifiers sa women’s.

Sasalang naman ang top four teams sa 12 teams mula sa Philippines (tatlo),  Japan, Thailand, Lithuania, Singapore, Israel, Italy at Austria para sa main draw.
