Mojdeh nagpakilala sa PSI National Open

MANILA, Philippines — Nagparamdam ng lakas si Philippine national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (BEST) sa pagsisimula ng 2022 Philippine Swimming Incorporated (PSI) National Open sa Rizal Memorial Swimming Pool sa Malate, Manila.

Inilabas ng 16-anyos na si Mojdeh ang bagsik nito matapos dominahin ang women’s 100m butterfly event sa bisa ng isang minuto at 3.89 segundo.

Ginulantang ni Mojdeh ang 23-anyos na si Chloe Daos na nagkasya sa ikalawang puwesto tangan ang 1:04.10 habang pumangatlo naman si Camille Buico na may naisumiteng 1:04.20.

“We’re so proud of her. After her so-so campaign in Dubai last week, she pro­mised to bounce back in the National Open. She did it so well, we’re all happy and proud of her performance today,” ani BEST team ma­nager Joan Mojdeh.

Muling umariba ang Brent International School standout nang puma­ngalawa ito sa women’s 200m Individual Medley sa pamamagitan ng 2:28.48 na performance nito.

Nanguna sa naturang dibisyon si Xiandi Chua na may naitalang 2:23.31 sa torneong magsisilbing qua­lifying event para sa 31st Southeast Asian Games na nakatakda sa Mayo sa Hanoi, Vietnam.

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Jules Mirandilla na ginulantang si national mainstay Rafael Barreto sa men’s 100m butterfly category.

Nagrehistro si Mirandilla ng 56.87 segundo para pataubin si Baretto na nagtala lamang ng 57.64 segundo.

Nagparamdam din sina BEST tankers Amina Isabelle Mondonedo na puma-ngalawa sa women’s 50m freestyle (28.72) at John Neil Paderes na sumegunda naman sa men’s 100m backstroke  (1:00.08).
