WPC iniurong sa Enero
MANILA, Philippines — Iniurong sa Enero ng susunod na taon ang pagdaraos ng prestihiyosong World Pool Championships na nakatakda sanang idaos sa October 14-18 ayon sa pahayag ng Matchroom Pool na siyang nakakuha ng rights sa pagho-host ng naturang event.
Dahil sa kasalukuyang COVID-19 pandemic, minabuti ng Matchroom Pool na ipostpone ang event at gawin na lamang sa Enero 6-10, 2021 para mas ligtas ang 128 players mula sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng mundo na makasali sa torneo gayundin ang mga spectators, mga staff at crew.
“The World Pool Championship is a prestigious event and should be the most important event on the calendar for professional pool players. Following our acquisition, we are extremely eager and excited to stage the event, however it is our first time and we are focused on making it right. The event will boast 128 of the top male and female players across the globe, it is important that all 128 deserving players are able to participate and are not restricted by the current climate,” ani Emily Frazer, Matchroom Pool COO.
Ito ang ikatlong pagkakataon na hindi naidaos ang WPC tulad noong 2008 at 2009 dahil sa world recession.
