Tamaraws mas mabangis sa susunod na MPBL Season
MANILA, Philippines — Isang bata, mabilis at malakas na Mindoro Tamaraws ang matutunghayan sa susunod na Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League season.
Ito ang tiniyak ni team owner Justin Tan para sa kampanya ng Tamaraws na suportado ni Mayor Jennifer Cruz ng Pola, Oriental Mindoro.
“I want a young, running team,” wika ni Tan. “I hope to find hidden gems from the other school leagues like the NAASCU (National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities), UCBL (Universities and Colleges Basketball League) and NCAA-South.”
Pumayag si Cruz, dating actress, print model, producer at beauty queen (Mrs. Universe Philippines 2015), na maging part owner ng Tamaraws na tumapos na may 9-21 record para sa No. 24 place sa nakaraang Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan Season.
Nakipag-usap si Cruz, may screen name na Ina Alegre, kay MPBL founder at CEO Manny Pacquiao para sa kanyang intensyon na maging bahagi ng liga na nasa division finals nang ipatupad ang enhanced community lockdown dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.
Ang Tamaraws ay gigiyahan nina dating PBA All-Star at Smart Gilas member Mac Baracael at MPBL All-Star Rodel Vaygan.
