MANILA, Philippines — Gagamitin ng Philippine national polo team ang kanilang kaalaman sa bagong gawa na competition venue sa pagharap ngayon kontra sa Malaysia sa 0-2 goals division ng Polo Event sa 30th Southeast Asian Games sa Miguel Romero Field sa Calatagan, Batangas.

“They have been practicing at the field longer than anybody so it will be a big factor in their game. They know in and out of the field,” ani ng isang tournament official.

Ayon sa nasabing opis-yal na halos patas lamang ang tsansa ng dalawang koponan dahil pareho lamang sila ng handicaps.

“That’s make today’s matches more interesting,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Sa maayos na panahon, nakatakda ang Philippines-Malaysia showdown sa ala-1 ng hapon habang magtatagpo naman ang Brunei at Indonesia sa alas-11 ng umaga.

Ang mga nasabing laro ay nakatakda sanang isagawa noong Martes, ngunit dahil sa Bagyong ‘Tisoy’, ipinagpaliban.

Kasama sa Philippine national team sina Jose Antonio Veloso, Noel Vecinal, Benjamin Eusebio, Julian Garcia, Franchesca Nicole Eusebio, Stefano Juban at Rep. Mikee Romero.

Ang Malaysia naman ay pangungunahan ng 18-anyos na si Keith Teh at 50-year-old Mohamad Zekri Ibrahim.

Si Prince Jeffri Bolkiah, 65, ang babandera sa Brunei squad kasama si Prince Qawi habang sa  Indonesia ay sina Billy Lu­ming­tang at Acep Krisnandar.
