Batang Mojdeh mapapalaban sa Singapore swim meet
MANILA, Philippines — Magtatangka sina Behrouz Elite Swimming Team ace tankers Behrouz Mohammad Mojdeh at Winston Taggs na masungkit ang unang gintong medalya ng Pilipinas sa prestihiyosong 24th SSC Open Invitational Midget Meet na aarangkada ngayong umaga sa Singapore Sports Club swimming pool sa Singapore.
Unang sasalang si Mojdeh na mapapalaban sa mas matatangkad at mas matatandang karibal sa boys’ 8-year 25m butterfly category kung saan matinding karibal nito sina Qi Heng Julian Ko ng Singapore Swimming Club at Yeo Jovan ng Chinese Swimming Club.
“It’s going to be tough with the presence of some top Chinese and Singaporean tankers but our swimmers are all set and ready to win medals for our country. They trained hard before the competition and we’re optimistic of our chances here,” ani delegation head Harold Mohammad Mojdeh.
Sa kabilang banda, aariba si Taggs sa boys’ 7-year 25m breaststroke kung saan hawak nito ang seed time na 26.13 segundo.
Mapapalaban si Taggs kina Singaporeans Asher Swee (27.44) at Nigel Low (27.90) na may kanya-kanyang impresibong seed times.
Inaasahang mag-aambag din ng medalya sina Kiara Acierto at Rita Dorela Dimaandal sa kani-kanilang paboritong events.
