Vargas miresayn isip POC president

CEBU, Philippines – Nakugang ang tibuok Philippine sports tungod sa kalit nga pagluwat sa katungdanan ni  Ricky Vargas isip pangulo sa Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).

Si Vargas mirason nga miresayn siya aron matagan ang iyang mga responsibilidad sa ubang trabaho ug pamilya, apan dili malikayan nga itudlo nga tinuoray nga rason ang nahitabong kagubot sa POC tali sa ilang  mga opisyal niini.

"There would be other sports leaders who would have the time and inclination to lead the POC more effectively," matud pa sa resignation letter ni Vargas."I ask for the understanding of all concerned, most especially the athletes and the NSAs who have supported my initiatives in the organization. Rest assured, I will continue to support Philippine sports in my private capacity."

Nasayran nga si Vargas mikuwestiyon sa ubang opisyales sa POC nga nagplano pagpalagpot kaniya ug wala mitahod sa iyang awtoridad.

Dakong pagsuway kini alang sa Philippine sports ilabi na nga hapit  na ang Southeast Asian Games sa Nobiyembre diin ang Pilipinas ang host.

Si POC vice president  Joey Romasanta,  mao una   ang   temporaryo nga molingkod  sa gibakantihang puwesto ni Vargas.
