Dula at Mojdeh bumasag ng record sa PSL National Series
MANILA, Philippines — Nagparamdam kaagad ng lakas sina reigning Swimmer of the Year awardees Marc Bryan Dula at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh matapos bumasag ng rekord sa 140th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series – Second Dipolog Swim Meet kahapon sa Zamboanga Del Norte.
Inilabas ni Dula ang kanyang natutunan sa Bolles School Sharks sa Florida, USA nang magtala ng 33.98 segundo sa boys’ 11-year 50m backstroke para wasakin ang 34.96 lumang rekord ni Khiel Libat.
Hindi rin nagpahuli ang Palarong Pambansa Most Bemedalled Athlete na si Mojdeh nang bumanat ng tatlong bagong marka sa girls’ 12-year division ng torneong suportado ng MX3 at DMI Medical Company.
Namayagpag si Mojdeh sa 50m butterfly sa bilis na 29.58 segundo – malayo sa 31.61 segundo na lumang rekord, habang binura rin niya ang mga marka sa 50m breaststroke sa bagong 35.87 segundo mula sa dating 36.15 at 200m freestyle sa 2:27.58 mula sa dating 2:27.72.
“It was a great showing from these two young promising tankers. These are the future of Philippine swimming. We’ll stand by their side no matter what. We will guide them towards achieving their ultimate gold of competing and winning in the Olympics,” wika ni PSL President Susan Papa.
Itinanghal namang Most Outstanding Swimmers (MOS) ang 17 tankers sa Novice Division sa pangunguna nina Deandre Vin Uy (boys’ 6-under), Ionie Nacaytuna (girls’ 6-under) at Ella Faith Ulla (girls’ 7-year).
Ang iba pang nagwagi ng MOS awards ay sina Tiffany Delana Nalzaroat Kiana Ashley Sarabosing (8), Marla Rodica Ranises (9), Gianna Anika Concha (10), Arabella Campos (11) at Chryssa Nicole Villanueva (13) sa girls at sina Kent Jade Pareja (7), Markus Phoenix Marinas (8), Bryle Villahermosa (9), Alexander Jamolod (10), Sam Edwil Macute (11), Prince MJ Galleposo (12), Vince Joaquin Kais (13) at Lord Denzel Palomar (14).
